Did you do some manual exposure times on those action shots or just get real lucky with how they turned out? At any rate they are pretty awesome. The fireworks on reminds my of that Picasso pic, do you know which one I mean?

i've got something of an automatic long-exposure option on my digital camera -- the little blurred sports runner mode. It generally does a pretty good job, even in low light, of capturing enough light through long shutter speeds (simultaneously throwing things into smear city). I think the fireworks was just a timed exposure. The green blurry one is actually a relatively fast exposure, but taken of a reflection on water.
